I hate computer viruses:(

ok well I was on my computer about a week ago and I was surfing the web(on collecters universe) get up to go get me something to eat I come back and all of a sudden I get a virsus scanner up on my computer that wants me to buy there crappy program so 1st off im thinking where did I go? I also tryed  to uninstall the programs but got these stupid messages that said can not uninstall because of install log.file. also this viruse would not let me surf the web so I had to uninstall and wipe out my computer because I got a virus which i have no idea how because i go to the same websites every day such as collecters universe and here and couple other fourms for cars. So any of you ever had your computer do something like this to you?

I hate them too. I helped my cousin rid his website of one. My website host blocked one on this website. Nasty things.

I use Avira AntiVir which is free too.

The one you got is well known. It suckers lots of people into buying their solution which fixes the problem they created! They make their malware very hard to remove. Sounds like you got rid of it by wiping your computer. There are specific antidotes to this one available but I guess you don't need them anymore.

well i didnt wipe out my entire computer I think I set it back a couple days now i still have some type of issue when i google search something such as ebay i click on it and it takes me somewhere else which sucks

I am currently using mcafee hopefully it will work I will try alot of stuff this weekend to try to get a healtly computer. Wish I had a mac

Well I think I got the viruse out of my computer because when i search in my search engine it goes directly to the site I used a program named hitman 3.5 and it got it out of my system I think my computer seems to run a liitle slower than usually but i dont get popups anymore.

Wow talk about computer problems this week ok well my computer just got over from a virus and now my parents there computer failed because of a burnt video card and there computer is only 2 years old and they paid quite a bit of money for it . they got it from ibuypower which is a pretty good company
