Nice! I like it. I will check my wife's coins to see if she has any of those. She has a bunch of Filipino coins.

 Shocked
Hey...Now that's a nice coin!  Thanks for sharing it with us, Joe.  General Mac was my very favorite WWII Army guy, and a star in my eyes.  W/O his insight, we would never have
enjoyed San Miguel Beer!

On a serious side, Mama's birth year of 1947, and Gen Mac's coins together, thru the
years, have just about persuaded me to begin collecting a mint state year set of them..
Maybe even Proofs!  I spent many months in the PI in the early 60's, and during several
port visits, circa early 70's, during a time that 1947 coins would have been especially
cheap! I had some interest in coin collecting back then; unfortunately, only for good ole
US of A coins..

Ain't that the way things always go?  And after 45+ years, what else, huh?

Actually the mintmark is in it's proper location.  It was placed in relation to 'United States of America' not the date as in the US coins.
And the die clash you mention is die wear called ghosting.  NOT AN ERROR.

Here's info on what ghosting looks like.  It's the second example down.

I told you the coin was already established as an inverted Mm and a obverse die clash the coin you are saying is  ghosting is a shadow image and not incused, as i said previously   mine is a die clash

I know that is what you have said.  The MM is in the proper location and if you look at other examples it's not an inverted MM.  And Ghosting has been  long established, particularly noticeable on the Licoln cent.

Jazzcoins,

Rockdude is correct. This is NOT an inverted mintmark.

The MM has been established as a inverted one by Mike Diamond ,and others on other forums and by my local dealer and me as well, and a die clash also.

If you can't tell this mm is inverted i advice you to do more research on the subject,  of these partcular coins,There are listings on this coin for inverted MM as well as other error coins in this series.

Look  at the top of the mint mark in comparison to the  bottom, much wider if you invert the mm you will see what  I mean the bottom should be on the top then    it would be in it's  right perspective, and if you can't see the two comparisons please do more research on this subject without due respect.

I would like to see Mike's statement.
Here's another discussion on this coin.  I would like to have posted a comment here but it seems the member was banned from this site;

Yes, Jazzcoins. We all know that you have been banned from many forums for trolling, spam, lying, racism, multiple user ID's etc, etc, so let's see Mike Diamond's statement, please.

. The statement was made on coneca when I posted this inverted mm,and was established by Mike  Diamond or wexler on that site.
The mm is so obvious that it's a inverted one please look very close to the mm and you will see the inversion.

And you are mixing me up with somebody else, apparently somebody else is using my user name, and I don't like that one  bit,so please refrain yourself from these statements, and I don't know you.
Thank you jazzcoins
