I'm one! I really like half cents. The are bigger than small cents but smaller than large cents. Smiley

I'm working on a circulated date set, all types. I regret selling my 1793 in G. Ever since then I've slowly accumulated cheaper examples. Most recently I bought an 1856 in a NGC AU 58 holder. I thought the price reasonable considering the low mintage (a bit over 40 thousand). One day I will own a proof.

I started entering the coins in the PCGS everyman set where all coins must be circulated. I was disappointed when I couldn't enter my 1804. It is in a PCGS holder too! But it is designated as an error coin and they don't accept that in the everyman category! Bummer. The coin has a small clip barely visible at 9 o'clock in the photo below. Now with the NGC coin I have 8 coins total but only 6 can go in the PCGS set. I may go over to NGC and see if their registry has a circ half cent set.

Does anybody have any half cent photos to share?

I hope to find a half cent with a touch of red in the near future.
For the time being this is the only half cent in my collection.
This is an 1809 9 over inverted 9.

I like that one! Nice coin with a nice photo too!

I don't want any red on my circulated early copper, just that yummy chocolate color.

Thanks. Can't take credit for the photo. It's an M.Goodman image.
