My wife doesn't pick them up but has gotten used to me bending down to pick up any change I may see on the ground. It is fruitful to check the reject bin or ground around those CoinStar machines. I guess people dump jars and bags of change in them and one or two get away.

Today's finds:

1981-D Roosevelt Dime
2007 Mexican Dime

Not great, not bad. I did find a silver dime once! Sure is less work than those metal detector guys go to in order to find silver! Cheesy

I'm getting my wife used to me picking up change. Today she pointed out a Lincoln cent I didn't see. She won't pick them up though.

I just picked up a 1975 Canadian dime by the Coinstar machine today. The machine must have spit this one out! Smiley

I will check the Coinstar as well.  I will pick up change from the ground, too.
I check telephone booth change slots, cigarette machine slots (back when..) and
when hunting treasures at the local Vehicle Junk Yard, I will lift seats, and
scrounge in glove boxes, and trunks for change.  I once found 18 dollar
tokens, at Circus-Circus (LV), in a change redemption machine.

I also take very good care of my shopping cart! Wink

Guilty as charged Smiley I pick up most coinage I see, I have to admit though, when I am running in formation and I see a coin on the ground I do not break formation to pick it up...lol.  I do however remember where it is in case I am in the area again that same day.
