1883 NO CENTS PCGS MS 64 |
This first year of issue coin was introduced later in
the year to thwart racketeers who dipped the earlier type in gold and passed
them off as $5 coins. This is the earlier type without the word CENTS.
This is a neat lustrous example. The lightly frosted devices deliver a proof
like look. $95 |

1883 With CENTS PCGS AU 58 |
This first year of issue coin was introduced later in
the year to thwart racketeers who dipped the earlier type in gold and passed
them off as $5 coins. This 2'nd type has the word CENTS spelled out to avoid
any confusion.
This is a coin that PCGS and NGC disagreed on. This one is tricky in that
the soft strike on this coin can easily be confused with wear. NGC called it
MS 61. PCGS must have attributed the lack of cartwheel luster on the cheek
as wear though luster remains on the areas protected by the devices. $SOLD$ |

1942-P Type 2 PCGS PR 66 |
1942 is the only year War Nickels are available in
proof format. This gem has nicely reflective fields. The natural patina has

1950 PCGS PR 67 Cameo |
This incredible 1950 has very reflective mirror like
fields that contrast sharply with ultra frosty devices. It is very close to
DCAM. It is very hard to find proof Jefferson Nickels dated in the 1950 with
Deep Cameo contrast. There are only 16 PCGS DCAMs for this date in all
grades put together! There aren't that many cameos either with 67 being the
highest grade in cameo. I suspect this coin is among the finest 2 dozen
proofs of this date. It is labeled with the Wohlforth pedigree as it came
from my personal award winning set. $old! |

 |
1951 PCGS PR 67 Cameo |
This sweet 1951 has very reflective mirror like fields
that contrast sharply with ultra frosty devices. It is very hard to find

are only 11 PCGS DCAMs for this date in all grades put together! There
aren't that many cameos either with only 4 in a higher grade than this. It
is labeled with the Wohlforth pedigree as it came from my personal award
winning set. $old! |
